But you are someoneā€™s subordinate, Jason: your parentsā€™ youngest child and your siblingsā€™ youngest sibling. Always have been, always will be.

Try that with your boss in 5 years. See how far you get (If you ever grew up, that is).

Mister Musk doesnā€™t look ready to agree with you.It could end both ways for a kid genius like Jason. Either would he became a brillant engineer that every firm and university will fight for or some frustrated math teacher harassed by pupils and parents.

Iā€™m not sure youā€™re supposed to have ā€œDo itā€ in front of ā€œMy way or the highway.ā€ To do it the highway doesnā€™t seem to make sense.

The trick is to be so good at what you do that your bosses donā€™t mess with you.

Most of my career, I worked for smaller companies that can afford to have only one person that does what I do. My bosses have a vague idea of what it is I do, but not a clue as to how I do it.

I am now at the stage where I intimidate some of my bosses. They realize I have about 20 yearā€™s worth of management experience more than they.

They know that all they have to do is tell me what they need done and get out of my way. They also know that I am smart enough to ask for help when I donā€™t understand something. Iā€™ve been in the workforce so long, that I donā€™t have an ego to build and protect.

Wize. I should probably take Jasonā€™s advice, but Iā€™m too dumb for it.

Paigeā€™s biggest mistake was hiring her eternal tormentor.

When does Jason get his first ā€˜realā€™ job, he is going to face a reckoning.

With that attitude you wonā€™t be anyoneā€™s subordinate, of course you wonā€™t have a job, sā€¦.
