A Facebook meme that circulated in December 2015 implied that putting a creche on your lawn expressed willingness to shelter refugees. Only progressive Christians were amused.
Several aspects of that story don’t make sense in light of what has been learned. No one has to return to where they lived for the census, just tell the census taker where you come from is sufficient then. There is no evidence any such order for infanticide was ever given. At least it hadn’t ever been found so far that I know. But such stories aren’t about reality, they are stories to stir the blood and fire the imagination.

This was published around Christmas, but for some reason it moved from then to today. The Christmas publication is no longer there.

Like the Nigerian Prince scam, the whole point of hoax news is to take advantage of those foolish enough to fall for it.
