Frank says, "Ernie, we're making sequels to a couple children's stories. The first film will be about the cow who jumped over the moon getting caught in a steroids scandal." Wonderland studio Cow says, "I'd like to apologize to all the beef fans." Ernie says, "Ah, it's a cautionary tale about the dangers of mixing sports and modern agribusiness practices!" Frank says, "The other movie's about a grown-up Goldilocks looking for 'Mister just-right' in a singles bar." Man says, I get a new porsche every year!" Man says, "...On tuesday we work our pecs, on wednesday we work our abs..." Ernie says, "great! Let's call it 'Goldilocks and the three bores'!"
In answer to the question “I wonder just what the point was” - it’s just a play on words, it doesn’t need a point. ;)
However if one wanted to analyze it to death, it’s that people who brag about themselves in an attempt to pick up girls or to impress others, are boring.
