Some advantage. If it weren’t for the fish being so hungry, they would not try the bait which has the hidden hook in it. Then if they take the bait, there is no advantage and they lose to human technology. And people just do it for sport, as Frank alludes, and the people do not even have the excuse of hunger to end the fish’s life over the affair—it’s just a sport for the humans. Hunger and death for the fish whose instincts lead into the trap.
