It’s about time he reined in his impulse purchasing, put a HALT to it, became stable, went straight and got ahead in the race to raise the stakes and buy that pony.
The ONLY thing I consistently go overboard with is books for my Kindle. I’ve got a “stack” now that would go from floor to ceiling if they were paper. I know, I know, real books are better. . .but my Kindle is much lighter/easier to hold. . .I even have a stand for it. . .what counts is the words/thoughts, not the format. . .
“A philosophical horse walks into a bar. The bartender asks the horse if it’s an alcoholic considering all the bars he frequents, to which the horse replies, “I don’t think I am.” POOF! The horse disappears.
This is the point in time when all the philosophy students in the audience begin to giggle, as they are familiar with the philosophical proposition of Cogito ergo sum, or I think, therefore, I am.
But to explain the concept [beforehand] would be putting Descartes before the horse."
