Boy: I need to start thinking about choosing a university! Mr. Spaetzle: What do you want to major in? Boy: What's that got to do with it? Mr. Spaetzle: Everything? Boy: I need to know whose football team is going to be good this fall. Mr. Spaetzle: I remember when fans stuck with the same team through thick and thin. Boy: You remember when the players came from somewhere sort of nearby; and played for four years; and you could see their faces. Mr. Spaetzle: I think my ego just got sacked. Frazz: I know. I could see your face.
Interesting factoid: the eight Ivy League universities do not grant athletic scholarships. This explains why they’re academic, rather than athletic, powerhouses.
