Brilliant! I’d like to point out that I am the inventor of the eitherormeter. You put a cup filled with water outside, and you find out if its freezing or not…Works very well…..

Um…. isn’t that kinda…. backward?Or am I missing something?

He’s says he’s throwing it into the wind….ie against the wind…

So…. I’d think the farther he can make it travel upwind…….. the less wind there is.“Wow” would be a wind that could whip the ball right out of his hand and blow it backwards.

Ping pong balls are like feathers…he could throw one eight feet, or even more, WITH the wind…

But I can’t imagine any wind worthy of a “wow” that a grade school kid can throw a ping pong ball INTO, overhanded, and make it go eight feet .

Varnes….you forgot to put out a piece of string tied to a stick…you check THAT to see whether it’s windy.

And there is the weather stick you use to determine if it is raining: if the stick is wet it’s raining; if it’s dry it’s not.

And then there’s the famous blooper, when a weatherman said: “Let’s take a leak outside and see if it’s freezing!”

Yeah, it’s a sub-par sport. (With the little carts that allow you to avoid exercising and everything.)

Easy for you to say. Well, sphfigmopnoterometer isn’t really easy for anyone to say. I agree – let’s go with Pablo-meter.

I prefer the title of John Feinstein’s book: “A Good Walk Spoiled”.

I’m not a golfer (used to play with my dad when I was much younger; bored the heck out of me) but I say if ballroom dancing can be an Olympic event, then golf can be a sport (along with bowling, which I do still occasionally enjoy).
