Frazz’s ‘girlfriend’ is a teacher who provides a dog walking service in the summer break. Hence why she is seen with different dogs each time.

This strip is very deceptive; it purports to be about dogs, but it’s really a fashion parade.

It’s Ms Plainwell’s side hustle, walking dogs. Obviously, their school doesn’t pay teachers enough. I’ve known lots of teachers who took summer jobs.

I didn’t get it at first. I was picturing a place where dogs go to read.

My daughter volunteers for the local Humane Society shelter, so that’s sort of like dog a day service.

Or maybe it’s a comment on teachers needing a summer job to get by.
