Why?

Now Fred! That’s just rude! Bruce has been a friend and you hurt his feelings. He can’t help he was born a larger breed. Downsizing indeed!

Well Fred that was blunt. Will admit a smaller ball may be used by all. Whereas a large ball is mostly for large dogs.

Why can’t Bruce play with the both of you. Don’t be a meanie, Fred.
