Oh, Fred. I know exactly what you’re feeling. If left to your own devices you’d eat yourself sick on choc-drops. And I could eat myself sick on chocolates. Neither of us would be happy with ourselves.

Oh, come on, Fred. If you can liberate sausages off the table, a bag of Choc Drops that close to the edge would be no trouble at all…..

Addiction is a terrible thing, even for a dog treat.

If you have treats that your pet doesn’t want, you have the wrong treats.

Fred’s become a choc-drop junkie. He needs Purrcia to come by and distract him.

Cocoa/chocolate is poisonous to dogs and cats, I have heard that carob is a good alternative for them. Not sure about that though.

Question that I have always wanted to ask…what are those “choco drops” that they can give to Fred when everyone knows that chocolate is dangerous for dogs? I assume it’s a British treat but I only know Jelly Babies. :)

Only slightly related to our “will it harm us” conversation above. Once in the middle of the night, hubby and I got a call from my mother-in-law. She had two bottles of medicine, both pink – one was Pepto-Bismol, for stomach upset, and one was calamine lotion to be applied onto , itchy skin. Since she was sleepy, she had accidentally swallowed a big spoonful of he calamine lotion instead of the Pepto and was worried about it possibly harming her. I called the hospital emergency room, and they called the Poison Control Center, who reassured us that no harm would result from this mistake. They did suggest that MIL move the bottles to different locations, though, of course, lol. I post this because i encourage anyone hwo has a similar event happen to them or someone they know to call a medical facility right away to find out if something needs to be done or if you will be all right.
