    I was lucky with Chinook (Avatar) 
. he never need to have his nails trimmed 

 as he did so much running on our road that he kept his claws trimmed 

 ;)

    Ours always went to the vet for “peticures” after we got Angel – she squirmed too much to avoid getting scratched at home, and as time went by she had to be muzzled to avoid bitten techs. I suspect a groomer wouldn’t do the other part of their “routine maintenance,” anal gland expression (for one of which Lindy drooped in, positively bounced across the clinic lawn coming out).
