I’m sure she left it down low in basset’s reach, just like she does the sausages.

Ohhh, Fred! You messed up big time. No sad puppy dog eyes will fix it this time. Time and excellent behavior and some groveling on your part will help.

I would gladly give up a steak dinner to get my Stella dog back. She recently passed, and the house feels less like home.

The blame should be on the wife. After all a dog gotta do what a dog’s gotta do.

I told you yesterday that I would be going to Llandudno again and reminded you all that this was where the goats were filmed roaming during the UK’s first covid lockdown in 2020. I saw the Great Orme – where the goats came from again – but did not go up it. My best friend and I did consider a tram ride up and down the Great Orme but the queue at the tramway looked too long to us. Instead we had our lunch at the fish and chip restaurant near the tramway which is called Fish Tram Chips.

Besides the fish and chip lunch, I enjoyed a mint and banana ice cream on Llandudno Pier and a Strongbow dark fruits cider in a pub called The Town House.

Bassets can hardly jump, so it is her fault for leaving anything in Fred’s reach.

My son and DIL had two Dobermans. They could not leave any food on the counter. Everything had to go into the microwave if it needed to sit out.

Don’t blame Fred, your wife left food out again within Fred’s reach, just like she always does. You are lucky he ate the steak, as it had been sitting on the counter for too long and had begun to turn.

That’s what the Dears get for leaving food out within Fred’s reach- – - – this was their fault.

18 years ago, one of our 3 rescue cats, Charlie, jumped up on my chair a pulled my slab of roast beef onto the floor when I went to the kitchen. Picked it up, washed it off & gave him a small piece.

How did Fred steal a steak? Was it dropped or did he climb a chair to the counter? If the later then he was not trained to stay off the chairs.
