Dear is definitely taking advantage of his chill. Had I been the Mrs., I would bundle him up, park him in his chair, put a blanket over his lap, and then he could watch TV with you and me in the front room. I would not roll the set into the bedroom. No way. He’s obviously not that bad off.

How did Mrs. get the set into the bedroom by herself? Those old Cathode Ray Tube sets were HEAVY and that’s not one of the smaller ones.

I, still would hate to be ‘Mr. Dear’. It was bad enough for me when I got ‘cold tongue’ but then again I WAS NEVER told to spend the night on the couch and the TV would have never been moved to the bedroom, my wife said that was one place it didn’t belong ! ! !

Wow…this one shows its age! Only oneTV? Even as a child in the 60’s and 70’s we had 3 TV’s. Had one all to myself. I have 3 now, one in each bedroom and one in the Living room

Why does he always show the humans as being angry.

I’m glad it’s not like the TV in my house in the 1960s, a forklift is needed to move it – TV Stereo combo with vacuum tubes. I think the tape recorder was reel to reel and was just as big.

Sitting room, is that what they call a parlor now?
