We’d occasionally get one of those, but they weren’t really forgetful or demented, they just wanted to get back in a federal pen as their lives were so messed up outside. They craved the structure, three meals a day, and a warm bed. They’d claim to have a weapon, scare the teller, and then wait for the police to arrive.

While you are waiting, could you stand over by the security desk?

HA! That’s….that’s….HA! Tha….wait, guess, now I forgot why I came in here. Give me a minute. It’ll come to me…

Teller’s reply on the back of the note:

“Correct spelling, nice handwriting with some cursive in it.

I’ll give you an A. Class dismissed."

He’s standing there, hoping for approval from the pen and teller.

Reminds me of the 1979 film, Going in Style, in which three elderly men rob a bank out of sheer boredom.

When looking up a link for that, I found that there was a 2017 remake, which I’d never heard of.

Been there, done that ….. kinda …. wait ….. what was the question?

Oh forgot’s sake!!

I can tell he’s old, the notes in cursive. And the Teller probably can read it.

A smart teller would say, “Oh, you came in to open a new account. Have a seat, and one of our bankers will be right with you.”
