While not quite the same, this reminded me of the Sesame Street book “The Monster at the End of This Book” (narrated by Grover Monster).

I’d put some newspaper under Buster, if you catch my drift…(a lot of newspaper!!)

Amazing how this unexpected heartwarming scene suddenly brightened up my day.

He’s adog with anticipation.

Read it again! Read it again!

Buster wishes it was a pup-up book.

Buster is a big fan of the writer.
