“Religion is poison because it asks us to give up our most precious faculty, which is that of reason, and to believe things without evidence. It then asks us to respect this, which it calls faith.”Christopher Hitchens
Reminds me of a story about W.C. Fields. After a long and somewhat dissipated life, the very agnostic Fields was in the hospital on what became his death bed. Before that conclusion, however, a friend arrived for a visit. When he walked into Field’s room he saw that Field’s was reading the Bible. When he expressed his incredulity at Field’s choice of reading material, the latter responded: “Just looking for loopholes.”

Whaddaya know. Both Free Range and Reality Check have Ten Commandments-themed toons today. Is there any religious importance to Feb. 8?

Chicago Loop holes are loaded with lousy lawyers.
Lupine hills are a better goal than loop holes.
