I never imagined in my wildest dreams that by supporting my friend, Dick Locher, I would be mocked in a daily comic strip. What IS this world coming to?

DL has been a great friend of mine for more than 1/2 of my life (I’m 33). He helped me get through Poli Sci class at Loyola and he’s invited me to work with him on some his own projects. Despite this mockery above, I’m not at all ashamed to support him personally & his lifetime of work, as his friend.

Apparently, I’m naive and foolish for this, according to the readers of DT on this site, the DT Yahoo! Group and Ms. Dowlatshahi. I’ll just go back to focusing on the positive projects I’m working on for the Chester Gould - Dick Tracy Museum and remain in the shadows from now on.

You all can sleep well tonight knowing that you’ve WON – you succeeded in stifling me, DL’s LONE champion here. Great job!

One of my favorite songs is, “On the Excrete Where You Live”. Lovely tune.

Teresa, that was very kind of you to extend that offer to Jeff Kersten. I don’t think that you even knew who he was when you posted the cartoon.

Margueritem, I agree - maybe Teresa thinks the DT stip posters heckle Locher too much, for all we know. It was cool of her to give JK that offer. I think it is all in fun and I would miss the DT strip immensely if Locher quit drawing it.

Jeff, thanks for letting me know about the pin, haha. I think it is cool that you and Locher go way back. Any plans to open the museum again? I never got to visit. =(
