As much as I love Mrs. Oldman, I have to respectfully disagree. Many a pleasant afternoon in the park has been ruined by someone who decides to blast loud music. I always say if I am forced to listen to someone else’s music, I want to choose the songs and the volume and when to turn it off.
For some odd reason, where I live, it’s mostly bicyclists. I can understand why they, unlike the rest of us, might not want to use earbuds while they are cycling, but why they choose the loud boom boxes instead of just waiting until they get home, I don’t understand.
I’m not fond of the people who drum on overturned plastic buckets. I don’t understand the music, so I just do my best to ignore it. I think they do it to get donations from tourists.
Hello All, I have been informed that the Guardian (UK)‘s LifeandStyle section will feature my interview about my New Start Over Sixty on Monday, April 22nd. The article will appear in the online and print editions, and you will get to see pictures of my (laughably small) studio and me drawing some of the characters. They don’t give me a sneak preview of the article so I will read it at the same time that you do!
Hey Nancy! I just read the article and it lead me here. It brings back memories of a childhood favorite – Calvin & Hobbs. I’m glad to be a new follower of your work! Way to go and inspire!

Is Mrs. Oldman a Cirque retiree? My daughter took me to see Allegria a couple of years ago. Best day ever! (One of)
