She does not seem to like the dress. Kate is more of a free soul who likes to go her own way. Dressing up is more appropriate for the owner of a little canine pup with a fancy name who prefers to refer to mayhem…. or should we say “Chaos”.
Girl’s glee club had to wear white button down shirts with black A-line skirts. Boy’s glee club wore white button down shirts with black trousers. We all had to wear black shoes. Special mixed choir got to wear the robes in our school colors. Girls wore the red robes and boys the black ones.
An orchestra was playing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. The famous Ode to Joy has a long passage where the basses haven’t got much to do. The double bass section was stage right, near the curtains and behind the violin section. One bass player said “We can nip around the corner for a couple of beers and be back when this is over.” The others agreed, and they went to a bar and lost all track of time for the usual reasons. “Don’t worry about us being late,” the first bassist said. “Before we left, I tied the conductor’s score together. We have a few extra minutes.” It was the bottom of the Ninth, the Score was Tied, and the Bases were Loaded.
It is also the birthday of Lucy Wainwright Roche, daughter of Loudon Wainwright III and Suzzy Roche (of the Roches). I only know this because of Loudon’s song Screaming Issue .

On Beethoven’s birthday, some singers should really plead the Fifth…

As a Peanuts fan, I love seeing Beethoven’s b-day mentioned.

“Ode to Joy” of course. I’ve only heard it four times this month, spoiler alert, I live in Japan.

As an extension of her mismatched socks, she has mismatched leg warmers.

Schroeder? That just nuts…?

Is Schroeder the guest pianist? If so, I predict Kate will be impressed.

Why oh why do I put off my Beethoven’s Birthday shopping until the last minute?!

I never saw any of the Peanuts movies or cartoons. I miss a lot of the references, but that’s OK. I get the general concept.

Happy Beethoven’s Birthday … and I love the nod to Schroeder, from Peanuts. I don’t know about the chorus, but the piano music will be wonderful!

Nice Schroder reference.

Move over, Lucy. There’s room at the piano for Kate!

Yes, but Lucy’s not one of few words (or punches!)

Retro. Upcoming selfie, Schroeder and the ‘hippy chick’ (yeah, I’m old)
And, about that funny looking kid with the big nose… A big thick sock to keep it warm?
