It could be that Daddy has realized that living conditions in prison is so much better that he might not want to escape. After all having a real bed in a cell with one roommate has to be better than sleeping on the floor of a bear cave with 3 halfwits.
Gweedo…. for me, even before I thought of Allen Ginsberg (like you did), I first imagined John Sinclair (I do not know how to post an image, but here is a link of a good one:( http://www.staythirstymedia.com/200909-037/images-monthly/js3.jpg )I am not sure if he really would count as a “beat” poet or not…. he was more in the “hippie” poet period…. but he is who came to mind for me.
