Many people can’t afford to completely retire. That will get worse, because many companies are phasing out pensions.

When my husband retired early age 62, he never tried to find a different job, just either stays home or goes shopping.

T-Bone: “Use, huh?! Can you ‘use’ a door?! …”

    Granny: “Why, SURE I can!!”

T-Bone (pointing at exit door): “Well, there you GO!! …”

Seriously, though, I am not at ALL familiar with this storyline, but I think that ‘Suds’ may be out doing something special to do/bring to the diner and surprise Corky and crew … maybe as a big ‘Thank You!!’ (?)

My friendly readers, one thing to remember about fixed pensions; they never increase you are paid/receive the same exact amount 15-20 years after retirement as you did the day you retired. So if you live long, you need a second income to prosper. My 1997 pension will not cut 2018 prices without supplementation.
