Yes, there is such a thing as an attack dog. That said, an able bodied human should be able to fend them off. The question of course remains as to whether or not this lot meets that criteria.
Something to think about when you are spending additional time in the pokey for escaping. Might as well stop here and surrender peacefully, unless you decide to turn and face the dogs!

Childcraft noted in its 1964 edition that a puppy can swim as soon as it’s born, but an otter must be taught.

Couldn’t keep my Collie out of the water, but my Golden Retriever was deathly afraid of it. (Go figure. I couldn’t).
