This is a reference post for people who choose to read about and discuss the history of Gasoline Alley. It will allow them to put their comments in replies. Those who don’t can bypass the discussion by leaving the replies closed. Fair for everyone, I think.
ugh yet another 6 month story with dumb and dumber. No Walt no Skeezix. God what the Wallets do to make Scancarelli hate them and the history of this strip so much? He is even forgetting memorial day and other vet days. Just kill off Walt and Skeezix and move on if you hate them Scan otherwise use more than these two morons
“When yer friends come a knockin’ past midnight, yew is supposed ta git up and give ‘em what they’s a askin’ fer. Ain’t that right, Becky?” (and the real question mark with Becky is why she stays with Jor-El). Ruthless could be called out as a hypocrite during a sermon illustration for that. After all, that’s what Luke 11:5-13 says. Good thing their pastor emphasizes forgiveness. On the other hand, hopefully all the racket they’re making should finally end with a trip to the hoosegow for both of them!
Harrumph! Here we see how disloyal and uncouth, and unfriendly Rufus is (and has been on numerous other occasions) to our hero, Joel!
In all the years they have known each other, Joel has always been kindly and fatherly to the doofus named Rufus. Joel has tried his damnedest on too many occasions to count…. to try to teach Rufus something so that he could learn and become a better person. Yet, as we have seen before…. Rufus takes his friend’s help for granted, Rufus seemingly refuses to learn, and to top it all off…. has on several occasions been rather mean-spirited to ’ole Joel.
Joel has the patience of a saint…. in terms of dealing with Rufus. Joel is a better man than I would be.
Advice for our hero….. Joel…. if I were you…. I’d go back to Becky and work through this shocking situation yourself. You really will not benefit from anything Rufus has to offer. Go back to your home, retrieve the jug you inadvertently/accidently tossed, take a nip or two or three, have a pipe or two…. and just think and reason through this. If you do this, I think you will have a far happier outcome than involving Rufus.

Remind me never to shake hands with Rufus, considering the placement of his left hand while he sleeps.
