I’m wondering which la-la land he has in mind. Vegas, maybe? Hollywood? Portmeirion?

When Mac shows up I think it would help if there was a translation offered. I just don’t understand him.

reminds me of that scene from The Limey, after Terrence Stamps explains himself to the DEA guy and the DEA guys says “there’s just one thing I don’t understand – every ‘freaking’ word you just said.”

Re-posting a link that William posted yesterday, that has proven quite useful for MMM-speak. http://www.peevish.co.uk/slang/

This is one of those times I wish I had a babelfish from The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy to stick in my ear.

Brassic – Darby meant “Boracic.” Cockney rhyming slang derived from “Boracic Lint” (rhymes with) “Skint.” (As in: No money.)

Many thanks to all who gave us a clue to marvelous English way of speaking in some districts. Sometimes I don’t understand Scottish or Irish dialects as well. But love the sound of their “slang”
