I guess the modern outrage might be fighting anti-vaxx trolls and other spreaders of misinformation. But there might actually be something tangible at stake in this instance, not just a cherished opinion.
Yesterday I got lambasted on a Facebook page for saying I had zero interest in seeing King Kong vs Godzilla. I guess my recommendation to see “News of the World” set them off .
My favorite take on the movie was on Big Bang Theory.
Amy’s analysis: “Despite Indy’s attempts to intervene, the Nazis took the ark to an island where all the Nazis died, and the US Army recovered the ark afterward. If Indy hadn’t intervened, the Nazis would have taken the ark to an island where all the Nazis would die, and the US Army would have recovered the ark afterward. What exactly did Indy do? The entire movie was one huge plot hole.”
A particular favorite of mine was a review of Mickey’s Christmas Carole in which the reviewer complained abot Scrooge’s Scottish accent. In the book Ebeneazer was definitely English and before the original DuckTales came out Scrooge McDuck was unknown to non comic readers.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a movie in a theatre. But that has nothing to do with ant reviews I’ve read.

Rob, Rob, Rob. That was 18 years ago. That person is unlikely to still be on the site.

Just remember, a film is someone else´s imagination! Try reading a book and use your own.

Pretty sure there were not bulletin boards with archives going back that far for him to check!! Even Usenet groups don’t really go back that far.
