On a side note, I hope MUT doesn’t retire the State Champion Gil Thorp catch phrase entirely. I can foresee some upcoming storylines where a “Former State Champion Gil Thorp” or “2014 State Champion Gil Thorp” tag line will be most appropriate.

Poor Marty. We Thorp fans can only hope this latest broken heart will throw him into a three month bender that will take us through basketball season and a stint in rehab.
