Work hard during the “working years” and retire young. THEN you can be a kid again!

If kids don’t have to grow up quickly due to circumstances they should not be in a hurry to do so.

Reminder: to drink booze, drive cars and have sex … not necessarily in that order.

people use to say to me “Oh, GROW UP” my reply was always – “if growing up means to act like you. Then I don’t want to grow up” it usually shut them up. besides I have a little plaque that says “if you haven’t grown up by 50, you don’t have to” I stand by that plaque cause I am waaaay past 50!!!!!

Relax, you’re comic strip characters. You’re in no danger of growing up.

When I was their age, I sold Avon, babysat and typed up reports ( I had an IBM typewriter that my grandma got from the lawyer she worked for. He was getting newer ones so knowing I was planning on becoming a legal secretary he gave me one of the IBM Selectric’s to replace my older one he gave me years back. While my grandma cleaned there house and many times I helped. Some trips Mr. Hammer would take me to the office and show me how to use the equipment and one time the copier guy was there fixing it and I watched him and so when the copier in my Office Machines class went I was able to fix it. Mrs. Greene was forever in my debt (her words not mine). After school one day her car wouldn’t start and so I looked and redid her wires that came loose and off she went but before she left I got a big HUG and lots of thank you’s.

I feel this year may push more children to grow up sooner then they expected. Others though may never feel like growing up either. And yet you have to ask what’s so great about childhood innocence.
