As I see it (after 7 decades of life), Christmas has evolved into something more like Santamas. Unless you’re taught through Scripture, these days there’s little to show or tell who the celebration honors. And no, I don’t for a minute believe Christ was born in winter (sheep can’t graze in snow covered fields) but this was the date “approved” centuries ago by religious leaders, as a time to focus on loving and giving, especially to those less fortunate than oneself.
