Wow. Drive Ins were pretty decent. Saw Ghostbusters for the first time at a Drive In. Hell of a lot cheaper than the movie theater. The two near us are now closed. One burned years ago and is being turned into some sort of apartments, while the other one closed years ago and is now all apartments.
There’s still a drive-in in my town, as well, about a mile and a half from my house. Has a digital projector and everything. Also has a motel, so you can watch from your room, and you can get hamburgers from the owners’ Angus herd.

My town still has a drive-in. After the summer season they take the equipment and show movies in a small theatre in town.
