Look at her being proud of raising such an independent-thinking young lady.

By golly, Patrick Osterbrink, I think you’re absolutely right! Let’s return to the traditional roles of men and women as instituted by god! I mean, men are the bosses in the family, right? Women must cherish and obey their husbands. What need do they have of being independent, of voting, of leading rewarding and fulfilling lives outside of having a bunch of kids, raising them, cooking and scrubbing the floor? That’s their role and they should be happy with it! What need do women have of being seen as equals to men in rights, capacity and talent? Or of having a sense of self worth? Or of not being seen as second class citizens in their own country? Better yet, let’s stamp a red “A” on their clothes when they commit adultery! Of course, men should have the right to do as they please in that department, with no consequences whatsoever. But women! Of course not, that’s shameful! All I can say to that is, bulls**t. (I hope people can understand that I’m being sarcastic…)

Great job Mom!!!!!! treat yourself with some 1/2 price candy!! I think instilling self worth into a child must be the hardest part of raising them, you’ve got so many enemies teaching them the opposite.

not all couples make good parents; that truth is in the news everyday. making your-own-self happy by treating yourself to a box of candy, a bouquet of flowers, a evening at home watching your favorite movie doesn’t mean you don’t need others. it is just nice knowing you don’t need others.

Half-priced Valentine’s chocolate certainly takes the sting out of not being in a relationship.

Quite a contrast that Mr. Tatulli has made in his two comics regarding parenting and their results. Lio’s single Dad and Heart’s single Mom. However, both kid’s seem to be quite confident in themselves (excepting Heart’s emotional dip a few months back, which is quite normal).
