So much to absorb today!! Brilliant artwork in the panels, Charlene stalking and then beginning to feel sympathy for Roy, and then…growl?… Holy Sheboygan, a BEAR!!!!

I didn’t think stalking was “normal”. Is that a buffed up cat or a slimmed down bear? Either way Charlenes in a heap of trouble.

You brought this on yourself Charlene, that is the bear of solitude who only attacks stalkers! XD Seriously who’d a thought Charlene was the stalker?

I wonder if Charlene’s folks are gonna make a debut in this arc? Either way they failed to teach their daughter “stalking is for animals”. XD

He hooked her! Now he just had to reel her in. Before the bear ate her.

I can’t BeaR to look away! Can Roy hope to save Charlene with that fishing pole? So close to the pamper camper, and yet so far.

The bear is protecting Roy’s campsite because Roy is feeding her half the fish he catches.

    False alarm Saturday cliffhanger.

    Nothing to seizure here.

    Moving along, moving along.

Yep, seems like a perfectly healthy, well-adjusted fixation. Nothing creepy at all.

I’d have to go with “Ew.” Roy is living in that extended portable toilet.

What to do? If it is a Grizzly, play dead. If it is a brown bear, start fighting. Do not run; the fastest human is clocked at 28 mph, the slowest bear goes 35 on a a bad day. NOW you wish you had that gun.

Usually when a woman sees a critter, there’s a big difference between the size of what she sees and how big it really is.

Had a feeling this would lead to Char getting attacked by a forest animal of some sort. Time to show her that you can back up that macho act, Roy!

Actually, some bears can be tamed, if found as a cub. The story of Corporal Wojtek is one of my favorites: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wojtek_(bear)

My posse of bear experts rejects this premise on the grounds that it depicts a rare, extreme style of attack, categorized in the ursine trade as, “YOU’RE STANDING ON MY CUB!!!” A simple silviphilic photo buff (buffette?) doesn’t provide the kind of stimulus necessary for that level of response. Unless she’s really standing on a bear cub, in which case she’s pain perdu with extreme prejudice. (Recipe available on request.)
