There’s a pitcher who can’t broaden his horizon.

A perfect game would be nice, wouldn’t it?

I think this poor pitcher needs to expand his phrasiology, or he’ll end up in the showers.

Sorry, jimpow, I don’t get it.

He should have at least wished that his pitching would win the entire game (minimum). Better would be to wish that his pitching would ALWAYS win the game.

…And then, of course, there are always more greedy wishes like wishing for infinite wishes, infinite wealth & power & attractiveness, etc.

Some of the most miserable, messed up people I know are those that get everything they want. Think: Brittany Spears, Lindsey Lohan, etc.

Following on what Bert said.. I think that while a Britney Spears-type can get anything she *asks for, I’m not sure they end up getting “what they want”. A head-shaving sort of implies that a rich and famous lifestyle is not automatically a happy one.

I’d rather run into the guy with the suitcase from the Twilight Zone episode “What You Need”.

I’m reminded of the guy who, after being given an endless bottle of beer, asked for another one.

I suspect Jimpow’s joke involved wishing for a you-know-what that reached the ground.

Read a card where an elderly gentleman wished he wasn’t an old man anymore…then he became an old woman… By the way, about that game… http://blogs.ajc.com/atlanta-braves-blog/2010/03/02/chavez-struggles-cabrera-shines-in-braves-debuts/

Read it and weep (if you’re a Braves fan)

    Go Braves!

As I read recently online …

Wish for infinite wishes. If that’s against the rules, wish that it wasn’t, and then wish for infinite wishes.
