Back in those days, nobody cared about mileage. Gas was cheap and plentiful. I remember buying regular for 9.9¢ during a gas war. When was the last time anyone saw a gas war?
Currently we have 2 (?) plots – Jane at Hooters with her boob-phobic friend, and the Bigfoot hanging out with … this guy (I can’t remember his name). Does anyone care about this second plot?
I drove vintage cars when they were just affordable old cars. My 67 Plymouth Fury convertible with 383 got about 10MPG if I kept my foot out of it. Which I seldom did. My 68 Datsun 510 got around 20 MPG.
I vaguely recall milk direct from the cow as having an ‘earthy’ flavor. And a bluish tinge, so ok for the coffee. A bit of a challenge with cereal. My grandfather said they used cream in their cereal. But, then, I imagine they burned more calories just walking to the barn than I do in days.

Far fewer miles per gallon, but far more joy per mile. And triangle vent windows!

I like it when a comic strip artist likes cars enough to make them recognizable models (looks like a ’64 Chevy here).

@Paige Braddock – This story is blah….the Intervention had much more promise……

We seem to be in search of a plot.

I’m guessing 6 to 8 in town.

Getting milk would be a lot easier than getting coffee, which grows around the equator.
