In one mile turn right
Frank: what? NO, NO, no!
keep straight.
This stupid GPS is trying to take us at the long way.
You sure, Pop? This things goes the most direct route usually.
Did e just call me "stupid"?
Once we were in Phenix City, AL, trying to get back to Columbus, GA,and Garmin tried to run us into the Chattahoochee River. Last week she wanted to take us through a winding-roaded residential area rather than over to the Interstate. It may have been a shorter distance, but would have taken loads longer.
I’m waiting for a GPS app called easier driving. I’m always fighting with mine because instead of the shortest fastest route I want to take a hassle free motorway. Better 50 additional kms and a car free motorway than a four hours drive fighting with cars and trucks.
Once, when my friend was driving me from Palm Springs to Riverside for an appointment, his GPS told him to turn right. I said “Don’t do it! Stay on this road” because I’d been going there for quite a while and knew the correct direction. Another time, someone was coming to my home to have me sign some papers and she got lost following her GPS’s directions.
