“My Country” seems to make no sense to me. I wonder if it is a typo for something else?Or, conversely, could “my country” be some sort of euphemism for her house, her apartment, or her way of life? I do not know… I guess I am lost. I do not think and it seems too odd to consider, but could she be a foreign born person, who was here working as a parole officer and she suddenly decides to quit the job AND leave the country? That sounds too damn fishy to be true.
