If that’s the way, you want your kids to eat. Fine! Just don’t expect me, to eat that way. What I eat you say is wrong. Well, guess what? What I think you eat is wrong and to me. It’s not the way of life, it’s the way of your life! And the more, you shove it in my face. The more resistance you’ll eat. I respect the way you eat. Now, respect the way I eat and back off!
I grew up eating plain cereal. Gabby Hayes would hold up a box of Puffed Wheat and tell us “Some people like their cereal sweet, and some people don’t. That’s the beauty of Quaker Puffed Wheat. You can sweeten it to suit yourself.”
The school I attended didn’t put out sweet cereal for breakfast, and if I wanted it at home, Mum just told me to buy it with my allowance.
“ultraprocessed” foods are not the reason so many Americans are in poor health. This is just another inane fad that’s poorly defined and aimed at shaming people for what they eat. Please get off this nonsense.
Plain Cheerios was my and still in my choice, though mostly eat plain oatmeal these days.
We don’t eat breakfast as we don’t get up until close to lunchtime and start the day with lunch (the joys of retirement). It is currently 1:30 am – husband will soon be down for late night snack and I will have oatmeal and he will have grits. (Both of us are Diabetic and if we didn’t eat between dinner today and lunch tomorrow our blood sugar would drop too low.)

The plain bran will be fine if you add honey, chocolate chips, and maybe some peanut butter.

If it were me, I’d be going on some Froot Loops or Frosted Flakes. When I was little, my folks hardly ever let me eat those.

plain bran cereal is good for digestion, but it’s tasteless and unsatisfying, it might drive you to supplement it with something else unhealthy.

Plain bran is ok with fruit on it, but by itself it tastes like shaved cardboard.
