There are actually two towns in NC called Erect and Climax.

Some say they need to be farther apart.

My sympathies to the poor Portlanders who have to go so many miles to go all the way.

Why would anyone need to know about Portland?

In Iowa there are two towns named Fertile and Manly, not so far apart. The local joke in the personals ads is “Manly man seeks Fertile woman.”

Definitely easier to get to Portland.
