This is a real thing, some big time company Taquiera, UK is suing a Mexican couple for using the word Taquiera in their Taco Restaurant name!! They closed the restaurant to look for a bigger place and don’t have money for legal bills if they want to reopen.
The cartoon is referencing a local matter. One London UK restaurant (with a trademark on the use of the word Taqueria in the UK) is suing another London restaurant using the same name. The second one happens to be run by a Mexican-based family operation.

“Colonisation” is misspelt. Also, is that Taco Cart Chap?

“Taqueria” is a generic term. Claiming you own the name is like saying you’ve trademarked “Cafe” or “Bar.”

Does this have anything to do with the Packers playing in London this week?
