Does that mean he’s not invited to the wedding?

How does she know he cares for her? Didn’t he just figure that out for himself?

    Agree with 3hourtour…

Frank, start being a man and quit assuming everyone’s better than you.

What a crock, Brandy’s mom! Frank - go tell her you love her.

If she reciprocates, you both win; if not, at least you won’t have to worry “what if?” for the rest of your life!

It may not even be all about Brandy’s mom, save insofar as she projects her temperamental need for financial security on Brandy.

But a man’s (or a woman’s) life (and happiness) do not consist in the abundance of their possessions. That’s a hard lesson for someone like Brandy’s mom to learn. It’s something people like Brandy and Frank know innately.

Brandy’s mom, you do care for Brandy after your own fashion, but get a clue. Your legitimate need for security and honor is not her legitimate need for being true to herself and her heart. Don’t try to force her into your way of thinking and feeling in the mistaken belief that this is the only right way, with the mistaken hope that will make her happy.

Being “free” from life’s dangers and misfortunes is like being a caterpillar forever in a cocoon.

I can’t believe some of you seem to take this so seriously. Frank is living up to his name (weeney). Will he ever become a man?

The dominant moral theories in the world glorify self-sacrifice as the heart of morality. Since nobody could sacrifice everything all the time, it is an unattainable moral ideal with the result of chronic guilt throughout the world, and Brandy’s mother is beating Frank up with that guilt. “If you REALLY loved her,…”

Don’t buy it, Frank! The choice is Brandy’s, not yours or her mother’s. Do what’s best for YOU, even if you fail at it.
