I never thought of the Big G as being a she.

Maybe Godzilla can do us a favor and wipe out them pesky North Koreans who are threatning to use their nukes. What do you say….. GO GO GODZILLA.

Charlie37133 is on the mark, but better include ALL politicians. They (both parties) are the reason this country is so messed up. And I vote that G can start with North Korea which will sooner than later start another war. Japan has reason to fear the nuclear monster.

I had the chance to see the original, uncut, Japanese version of Godzilla a few years ago. ( without the English dubbing or Raymond Burr. )

There were several scenes cut out for the American release that were VERY critical of US nuclear policy. For example, one of the main characters was a survivor of the Nagasaki bomb.

I’ve known about the US-Godzilla connection for quite a while, and have always thought it was ironic that Godzilla is so popular here. I’ve got a few Godzilla items myself.

Godzilla is a busy dude, he probably has a secretary.

Godzilla’s gender is one of those things continuity freaks can break their brains on. In the movies, Godzilla has a child. Lays an egg and it hatches. This would tend to lead to the assumption the monster is female. In the US dub, the child calls Godzilla “daddy.” No clue what the original had. Conclusion: Either the US dubbers really thought we’re that stupid or Godzilla is a hermaphrodite.

We’re just assuming that because the card is from Godzilla that he wrote it. I think the Big G just has a great secretary and he dictated it. If Miburn Drisdale can have Miss Jane I don’t see why Godzilla can’t have a Girl Friday of his own. What a great job that would be!
