Back in 2009, after the ACA passed, the GOP said that we had to repeal and replace ‘Obamacare.’ I’m still on tether hooks waiting to see their great plan…
So? You would rather the government make these decisions? Not sure they would do better than we would (within the bounds of the insurance Gods). Everyone should have access to healthcare. How is the dilemma. How much of my choice am I willing to forego to make that happens. Wish we had leaders (any party) that could work towards that.
It’s hard for me to be amused by this, since my late Partner was KILLED by an incompetent Doctor misdiagnosing his Lymphatic Cancer and thinking that it could be treated by antibiotics, since she was the ONLY Doctor that the Insurance Company he had would use. He had to FIGHT for over a month before they would cover the cost of even a biopsy on his tissues, and over 3 months before they could finally allow him to get a PET scan, by which time the Cancer had spread throughout his entire body. Then, while in the Hospital after Cancer surgery, he developed a MRSA infection, which finished him off, since his immune system was so compromised that he could not endure any more.
We pay the most for medical care and get the least due to high profit capitalism.
You can’t even get to a hospital now cause the beds are full of covid patients since the stupid lying republican death cult politicized the public health issue of masks and shots.
a particular favorite memory is the quack who recommended MR to get to the bottom of it when i mentioned that the sinusitis that’s troubled me since forever had caused a bit of pain from swelling in my lymph nodes…
Thankfully in the UK we still have a free health service, albeit one that has been underfunded for years, but our crazed and corrupt government want to sell it off cheap to their friends and create a system as bad as the USA.

Ah, the American health (don’t) care system.

This is not how sane countries do this. That’s why the Canadian version of Breaking Bad only lasted one episode.

Go to doctor → go to specialist or hospital if needed →buy medicines if needed → go home.

Why is my prescription being delivered by armed guards in an armored truck?

The HMO’s cost less, but I always choose a PPO when given the choice. Costs a little more, but you don’t have to jump through as many hoops.
