If Mr. Collins’ caption is true, I suspect this cartoon has been completely redrawn. No artist I know of ever likes the work they did from a few decades back.

The irony is palpable…

This is way too relevant now

I often watch reruns of old TV shows, ‘Barney Miller’, Johnny Carson’ etc. The other night a Carson show from August 1982 was run. Johnny was talking about how hot it was, 109 degrees in Burbank. Another show earlier in the week he was talking about the California forest fires. It is ironic how many of today’s subjects were subjects 40+ years ago.

Congratulation Dan, you always remember your first.

Interesting, this is not the first time I’ve seen this cartoon, and I wasn’t reading the SE Post in 1975. It must have gotten reused over the years by other means!
