As we have seen before on the strip, if Tiff needs class notes then all she has to do is mention it loud enough for one or 2 of the fellows in class to hear and then she’s have every dude in class fighting each other to give her their notes.
A good image of how history is traditionally taught. I was in college before a history teacher showed how history is about cause and effect and where our modern world came from.
Here’s a question in grades.A student sleeps through a high school physics class, doesn’t turn in homework and turns in a blank test sheet for each test. He/she then aces the final exam and is the only student to do so. What grade should the student get? F? D? A?
I had a similar conversation with one of my students. Her plan was to become a social influencer. Last I heard she had a couple of part time jobs at minimum wage level.

Tiffany would be right.
Except that so far in her “future” she has about as much chance of being an international fashion model as she has of winning a Nobel Peace Prize.

The techniques the Huns used to conquer would help to understand tactics used by say Russia in Ukraine. So maybe she should pay attention.

Might change your mind and become a History teacher…..

That is actually a good point. The modern school system seems more interested in pushing useless facts instead of anything actually practical.

A history book has the same 3 page stories with dates, names, and locations changed over 450 pages.

Can’t know where we are going or how we will get there if we don’t know where we are from or how we got here in the first place.

When my students said something similar, I would say, “Not with that work ethic.”

“Well…for one thing…you’re too fat to be a fashion model”
You KNOW it’s going through his head…but will he actually set that bomb off by SAYING it?
