I know it’s a bit late to cast a vote now, but I would have voted for Gunther.

If this comic strip was published in 2025 I would vote for Gunther, all men should be honest, trustworthy, polite and kind with all genders.

Go with Gunther, Luann. He’s a guy…who’ll talk to you.

Well, if one goes back and reads the Luann archive Strips from February thru about early April 1997, you’ll know the outcome of this (rigged) “election.”

Doesn’t help things with Luann’s less than flattering description of Gunther. :-(

Computers are great except when they’re not.

I would have chosen a third option. If Aaron, the person she was actually romantically drawn to, wasn’t interested, she shouldn’t “settle” for the only other person on the scene but wait until she meets a boy with whom she shares a mutual attraction and truly “clicks” with. It’s not fair to Gunther to “settle” for him because she couldn’t get what she really wanted. Let Gunther find someone who really loves him back and isn’t just settling for who is available. Of course, what was truly cruel about this poll was that Greg just ignored the results and got rid of the dream guy.

I think Gunther is taller that 4’11".

Neither guy is right for her. If you feel you don’t measure up to your “dream guy” then he’s not right for you. And if you feel you are “settling” for Gunther then he’s not right either. You need to keep searching. Expand your horizons a little.

Gunther has a temper that should not be ignored. LuAnn can definitely do much better.
