Brad is running the vacuum hose over Puddles when Luann enters the room. She yells, "BRAD!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO PUDDLES?!" Brad replies, "Vacuuming him. He sheds all over the furniture, so instead of -". Luann grabs Puddles away from Brad. She says, "You IDIOT! You've scared him to death!!" Luann, off panel, yells, "Mom! Brad was vacuuming the dog!" Brad shouts after her, "Why treat the symptom when you can cure the disease?!"

My Mom used to vacuum the dog, but it didn’t really do any good. I think he ran at about 1000 HPM (hairs per minute).

Puddles was thinking, “What the… What in the world is this human doing?” Then when Luann made a big fuss, his confused expression turned to false terror. So dramatic.
