I thought Luann always had her dog, Puddles. And with that top, just exactly what kind of friends are we talking about here? ;)

Greg mentioned that the family does have a cat but because Frank is allergic, it is kept in a room that he doesn’t use. I wonder which room….he as well re-home this cat since it never makes appearances on the strip.

Well, it is the hot part of summer, so a skimpy little half-open bright red top is perfectly normal for a stodgy girl like Luann, right?

Luann’s cat, an addition to the strip (the storyline has Frank DeGroot being allergic to cats; thus, Luann must keep the two separated). Luann gave Cuddles to Mrs. Horner, to spare her father from his allergies. While Puddles showed some hatred towards Cuddles mainly over territory and attention from Luann matters, he also showed some love as they have cuddled and slept together a few times. Cuddles’ original name was Sassy, until Mrs. Horner found a better name as Cuddles.

I think this is the first time Greg published Luann in a bra. Impressively daring for a cartoonist. Greg seems to also be playing a bit with her eyes too, giving subtle context. Mr. Evans is becoming quite a talented artist.

Yeah the Quill and Luann story line is definately B-O-R-I-N-G…..not only that…..what has Greg done with the drawing of Luanns eyes…..they look like they are bulging out of her face to start with……and they are always 1/3 open like she’s stoned……I’m starting to like even TJ’s character better in this strip lately…..Luann is boring!!!!!!

It just occured to me that her continuous replay of “we’re not dating” is leaving the door wide open for Tiff. I know that Quill is not really into Tiff, but why would that stop Tiff? Her constant intrusion would drive Luann crazy. For Tiff, that would be payoff enough.

I could already see tomorrows strip. They are going to run into Tiff and Crystal at the movies. That they are not dating will come up and Tiff will go into action. Perhaps not this coming week, but in the next Luann/Quill arc.

At least these two could repeat that New Years Kiss….I wonder if they’ll even watch the movie. Hope its not a Drive-in. If theres any still around.

Sigh. I wish Evans would stop putting the girls in crop tops and high waist pants when he wants them to be trendy or sexy. Not in style. Not for about 20 years.

In deed, Lu’s mind thinks one thing and her actions say another. Lu it is time to balance the two or your “date” with Quill will fill like it is “missing something”.

In the original movie “King Kong”, when Carl Denham and his crew land on Skull Island, they find this huge wall built by the natives. As they soon find out, this wall was built to protect the natives from the ferocious and mighty King Kong.

Here’s my question, if the natives built this gigantic wall to protect them from King Kong, why did they put a door in it big enough for Kong to walk through?

Hubba Hubba! I can’t recall ever seeing Luann in her unmentionables. Quill will be putty in her hands. Maybe I can trade in Olive for a Luann model? Nga nga nga.

Janice occasionally appears topless, but with arms or some object obscuring the details. This is hardly daring. I recall there was a British WW-II strip in which the lead was nude much of the time. Jane, I think – it was quite awhile ago!

This is one of my favorite strips but not because of Luann. She is the one character in the strip that seems to be stuck in neutral. Her life never progresses!

It seems like the majority thinks that Luann should either do something new and bold or just go to the background of her own strip and stay there until she stops being a boring tease. I for one agree with this, her storylines are pretty much always the weakest and there are plots that seem much better involving characters that Greg is willing to put in situations that are actually new.

I looked at teen clothes via Google. There is a lot that reveals the shoulders and more. I don’t see Greg as out of line here.

I think Greg is doing a good job (and I also loved the poem). I did not remember Sassy who became Cuddles. My Cuddles Cockatoo had another name before she came here-strange that I don’t remember! She was so sweet and loved to cuddle that I renamed her. When I’m cremated she must also be and mixed with my ashes in a pretty container.
