I love Quill’s quip. My kind of guy.
ZacBSM about 13 years ago
So? My husband owns several brown shirts, a sweatshirt hoodie, winter coat, cargo shorts. My sons, too. Brown is not homo color. My father in law, a Mexican native, now American citizen, wears pink quite well. Real men wear pink. My sons are willing to wear something pink in October for Breast Awareness.

Has any one seen the cartoon of Bugs Bunny outtakes? Or maybe, Toy Story outtakes? There are no such things. Cartoons and comics are drawings. Planned out months in advance. So, if you find something that reflects your life then the comic becomes personal. Reality comics, go figure.

They actually refer themselves to being homos. Gays generally refer to men who are homos while homos refer to both genders.
Ottodesu about 13 years ago
It is not 100 boys : 1 girl in China. I could tell you what it is easily enough, but it’s best for you to do some research and find out how to find real facts yourself. Clue: You’re roughly 100 times wrong. Of course, you may have just made a typo.
Chuck373 about 13 years ago
Do they really have assignments in school where you have to behave like some kind of status-quo family? Espesially realizing that what was status-quo is no longer the norm.
Chuck373 about 13 years ago
How did Gunther have such a “smooth” date when he can’t even look at Rosa and put together a question? How long is she going to deal with his phobia?
Chuck373 about 13 years ago
Good thing Rosa said yes. Tiff would have grabbed Gunther and made him do everything.
wiselad about 13 years ago
wow, I just got to put the palm of my hand in my forehead while I read your assumptions without researching and lack of listening to different points of view.I do not care if someone is liberal or conservative, just would like people to listen different perspectives .for the record.if I go to a conservative site, people in there call me Liberal; and if I go to a Liberal site, people there call me conservative
Mordock999 about 13 years ago
It would have been FAR MORE Interesting if this group HADN’T picked PREDICTABLE partners.
But who knows? This little excerise may finally PROVE that Quill and Luann are WRONG for each other.
Or NOT.
COFFEE time!

I don’t like being referred to as a homo and there is no such thing as “homo” colors. Geez, folks, grow up.

About Gunthers shyness…notice the smart answer the people that were direct got?…thats good natured banter that people do once they feel comfortable…Gunther (like most shy people) see this from the outside and are afraid they will get the same… good natured banter and rudness are only seperated by the feelings between the two people engaging in it
Raygun about 13 years ago
Rosa would definitely be the “top man” in that family.

Rosa knows Gunther will pull down major bucks.

jebjayman about 13 years ago
“So- wanna be a couple?” I think Quill’s response is exactly right for such a crude question. Don’t you just LOVE Crystal? And Rosa would be a good wife.

FYI – Evans prefers earthy colors for Quill. Take it up with him. I’m sure he needs this and all the help he can get with plot and character development, too. I don’t know he became a success without all this great advice. Sheer luck, I guess.

mojitobaby about 13 years ago
Addressing him is acknowledging him and giving him a forum. If you don’t answer him, he has no one to talk to but himself.
ChappellGirl5 about 13 years ago
I’m proud of Gunther for having the guts to approach Rosa in front of the whole class, he’s shy & stumbling, but he went to her, not the other way around.
ChappellGirl5 about 13 years ago
and thank you Rosa for putting him out of his misery before he hurt himself LOL
imbaldeagle about 13 years ago
@Sheriff Mordecai – for some reason I couldn’t reply to your post. So here is my post:
` “Sheriff, you forgot to put some sort of emoticon with your post so some of the more literal people would know you were smirking, or something similar” ;-)

Rosa is my kinna gal… Oh wait, yes she is… I’m getting married to my GF in November. She told me WE GETTTING MARRIED. I didn’t have an answer for that except. Umm ah, oh, After 14 years of living together, I guess enough is enough.
Kirk Sinclair about 13 years ago
@john abrams – Gunther isn’t gay, he’s just shy, inexperienced, and still has some lingering affection for Luann. Surely you’ve been in relationships where one person was more committed than the other.
marvee about 13 years ago
We were mostly wrong yesterday. So much for our acuity. My only complaint about the reply feature is that I wish they would appear directly under the original message. Otherwise they don’t make sense or you have to look back through the messages and I already waste too much time.
imbaldeagle about 13 years ago
@marvee – When the reply feature works for me, I generally include a few words of the post in quotes “you have to look back through the messages” that pertain to the reply, so that the reader can tell what I’m replying to.

Homo colors? Slut colors? Zit faced geek colors? Hmmm… we may be on to something. This could be the latest greatest thing for Lowe’s or Home Depot in paint chip classification. “Hi, I’d like to gay up my foyer!” -- in the meantime Quill will continue to wear muted earth tones so that he may embody the Outback palette.

“You can dredge up whatever statistics you like” – as opposed to what, making them up the way you did? If you have to resort to lying and fabrications to support your viewpoint, then it can’t be too valid. Sorry if that idea’s too “liberal” for you.
And yes, you have the right to voice whatever opinion you want, but that doesn’t make you right, and it doesn’t pass for a papal bull, either. People have already called you on positions and statements that you can’t support, so your only comeback is belligerance. BTW, there is no “rest of us” – you’re speaking for yourself alone, unless you somehow think you’re a royal “we”.
Of course, since your mind is already made up, why should anyone bother confusing you with facts?
mojitobaby about 13 years ago
“Is that hand to forehead thing how people prevent themselves from being penetrated by different opinions? I just notice liberals do it an awful lot.”
If by “liberals” you mean anyone with an IQ above that of room temparture, who actually has some actual knowledge of economics, education and global events and has to listen to what passes for argument from you, then yeah, I bet you do get the facepalm a lot.
Allow me to wager that you’re also a “headdesk” carrier.
mojitobaby about 13 years ago
“@Chuck373
That’s right. Our public schools are substituting social engineering for education."
Ever watched MST3K? Ever seen those great “training films” from the 1950’s, instructing kids on everything from how to shower, appropriate conduct on a date, how to interact with your family, the dangers of marrying too young, and career options for women outside the home? Betcha didn’t realize those were created during the Eisenhower administration to be shown IN SCHOOL so that the (gasp) dreadful concept of “social engineering” could foster good grooming and socialization among America’s postwar youth. And no, they weren’t shown during algebra class either. School has always been the great preparatory and training ground for life, and life is more than being able to do trigonometry. That’s also why it offers sports, drama, art, student government and other outlets to students.
You really might want to do some outside reading and broaden your outlook – that knee-jerk reaction’s gotta be killing you.
Not to mention the foot in mouth thing.
flashman.ace about 13 years ago
Oh, you mean everyone should just “go with the flow”? Allow me to spend the rest of the afternoon laughing at you.
Not that I don’t already…
flashman.ace about 13 years ago
Of course it’s just a vehicle. Some people will always see indoctrination or malign intent or creeping socialism or some damn thing in whatever gets shown because they see it everywhere. That’s their agenda. As far as I’m concerned, the first one who screams “liberal” or “conservative” loses.
Sheriff Mordecai Premium Member about 13 years ago
@Flashman – where may I send you the cleaning bill for the beverage I have spewed all over my shirt, tie and laptop monitor? My coffee went with the flow and look what happened.

Ottodesu did not dredge any stats, you did. Read his post again. If you’re going to quote stats, get them right. As Ottodesu said, you’re about 100 times wrong. Ladyhawk had the courtesy to correct you, as Ottodesu was politely doing.
I have spoken with European refugees from communism, and they say that the worst trick was to invent facts and then blame the misinforming on someone else. Your kind of stirring here is a very common commie trick.
imbaldeagle about 13 years ago
Now you see it, now you don’t. My old eyes are playing tricks on me. I was sure there was 2 flashposts by JJ. But they are no more `sob`
imbaldeagle about 13 years ago
Oh Oh, don’t read my post as an abbreviation – I meant it as sarcasm for being sorry!!!
Mighty_Mouse about 13 years ago
Why do the posts of one particular person keep getting deleted within minutes? Especially the ones where he accuses people of cowardice and being liars?
flashman.ace about 13 years ago
“You people sure have a lot of time to waste on the internet. What’s the matter?Don’t you have any friends?”
Oh, bless the irony gods, he did it again! Whatta maroon! There’s nothing more perfect than a guy who spends YEARS trolling a comic site – to the extent he gets bounced – and then trolls under various aliases, and then comes back AGAIN to troll the new site, having the gall to demand whether anyone who depantses him in public has any friends because we’re wasting so much time here!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!
Yeah, clyde, we’re all camped out in our mother’s basements not getting any fresh air or anything. Nice of you to be so concerned.
BTW, your mom says to take that load out of the dryer, it’s done. Sort of like you.

@ mojito - Alllllright, I’ll take the bait. After we tie me kangaroo down, sport, we’ll get ‘round to tanning me hide when I’m dead. Right, Fred? Now who’s gonna take it from here? Elwood’s driver?
flashman.ace about 13 years ago
The “mob effect”, clyde? Really? Truly?
I must say I’m surprised that you’re even moved to comment, given the fact that only yesterday you admonished everyone that you can’t trust anyone on the ’net, that people who appear to be your friends are, in fact, not.
Or does that maxim only apply when you’re the one dishing it out?
imbaldeagle about 13 years ago
And don’t lets get started on the platypus duck.
flashman.ace about 13 years ago
No more so than, say, any woman who’s unfortunate enough to have attracted a stalker. It’s like most forms of stalking/intimidation/subjugation, rape and erotomania – the subject’s done nothing more than be a type that appeals, or be there in the wrong place or wrong time- the stalker, rapist or troll is the one with the mental issues.
mojitobaby about 13 years ago
Pokerfaced, there’s a huge difference between a governemnt enforced eugenics program and having a school curriculum that includes a “family life” class. The fact that you would lump both of them together under the term “social engineering” and not see the immense gap between the two just illustrates you lack of a sense of proportion about the topic.
And trying to pass off spurious statistics as future facts to support your position really is beyond reaching – and it’s still not accurate! Do some reading, for God’s sake. The Chinese have already realized there’s a massive problem with enforcing a one-child policy in a society that overvalues males when those boys hit 18 TEN YEARS AGO and the rash of kidnapping young women for brides – even reaching into Vietnam – began. So no one’s gonna be “holding that thought”.
Mighty_Mouse about 13 years ago
And you accused Ottodesu for “dredging statistics” and “being smug” while you are happy to invent numbers and feel superior about a fictional future of your own invention. Spoken like a true commie. Not saying you are one, just acting like one.
Mighty_Mouse about 13 years ago
But I did like your JJ comment, so you are probably sincere.
CrazyWriter94 about 11 years ago
I think Gunth’s nervousness is cute. Just sayin’. I mean, the kid’s in high school, and has never had a girl actually interested in him before — cut him some slack! Seriously. If I’d dated in high school, I would have been interested in Gunth. (Although I’m not gonna lie — Quill is awesome in his own way. But they’re both really sweet, considerate guys, and that’s what counts.)
Hatjuggler1 about 8 years ago
I think Rosa’s the most mature communicator of them all.
