Further, when the mother asked the question, “When are you going to clean this room?” the child treated it as a question rather than a suggestion or an instruction and answered honestly — assuming “later” ever comes..Perhaps she would have been more effective had she said, “Luann, stop what you’re doing and clean this room right now, please.”

Both of the Phantom’s kids are blonds & both Phantom & his wife have dark hair. I’ve alway wondered whether someone made a midnight creep while Phantom was off saving the world.

Because both of Luann’s parents have blondes in their ancestry. The blond gene is recessive – many people with darker colors have it but the darker colors are dominant.

It turned into later when the talk turned from what she wants to what you want.

What poor Luann needs is a choice. You can have your room clean by 5 pm or the bathroom clean by 5 pm. Which do you want to do? You can have your room clean by 5 pm or you can drive Grandma to the Senior Center adn play bingo all day with her. Which will it be? This trick works with my friends with kids.

Re: black hair vs. blond. Two black Labradors can produce yellow puppies as long as each of them is carrying a recessive gene for yellow. Same with people.

This is mostly about Luann is getting to be a big girl now. Whatever age she’s supposed to be – she’s getting sexy – contemplating the big leap – etc. Greg Evans has allowed his characters to grow up- like Lynne Johnson’s “For Better or for Worse.”

The rumor mill has it that Mr. Evans will publish that story soon. We can only hope.We can only hope he continues to forget it. A week or two of seeing that airhead put on her makeup everyday is a scarey thought.

.The ‘big leap’ in Luann will be Luann being kissed twice in the same week. That will be the wildest it ever gets here. Too bad there will never be anything more evolved than that.I hope you are rigfht about that. There is enough sex shoved in your face from nearly every book, movie, TV show that is around. We all know it exists, do we need constant graphic details
