That’s it Tiff! When the going gets tough…..quit.
DaJellyBelly about 11 years ago
It’s nice to see that Luann isn’t gloating over Tiff’s resigning. It is a sign of maturity.

It’s funny, I don’t much care for the tears and snot, but I don’t mind the temper tantrums.

OMG, It’s The Crying Game!
Angelalex242 about 11 years ago
Tiff, mentally the same age or perhaps younger, then the actual children…
locuravamp about 11 years ago
I’m impressed actually. It’s important to know what you can and can’t handle. For instance, I know I would end up like Tiff if I had to be a business woman!

Don’t look now, Tiffany; but there’s tears, and snot rolling from your tantrum. ;)

Tiffany, if you hate tears and snot and temper tantrums, perhaps you had better consider some other career than being a Hollywood actress.
jeff_e about 11 years ago
Ben’s shirt changed color to green. That’s a lot of snot.
Sisyphos about 11 years ago
Tiffany is what she professes to hate: tears and snot and temper tantrums. If only she could recognize the irony….
ninjanick101 about 11 years ago
Look who’s talking. :P
sarafaye about 11 years ago
I’m torn about this. I was looking forward to some interaction between Tiffany and Luann working together, but I had no interest in seeing Tiffany interacting with the children.

Okay, HOLD Up You two “Sob Sisters”.

Is that a pre-snotted klenx Luann is giving Tiff? I hope so…
PMark about 11 years ago
Wow! Tiffany is opening up to Luann. When has that ever happened?
luann1212 about 11 years ago
Hey everyone, anyone feel sorry for poor Tiffany here? After all she starts crying; maybe she is feeling the sting of not being able to feel, maybe she is feeling unable to do something, or maybe it goes into her background. Could be a reason why she is the way she is….

“I’d flag it all, but it’s a waste of my time. "^I could understand if it was vile, or a lot of cursing and stuff… the flagging mechanism was made for that kind of stuff, but I’m not sure that it was for marking everything we don’t personally care for… I’m sure there’s lots of stuff on here that some don’t care for (including my stuff, I know, I know), but for every person that doesn’t care for it, there’s usually someone who does … no matter who it is, even… I know that there are sometimes things that I may not care for, but somebody on here does care for it, and vice versa. And in a sense, that seems to be all that would matter (again, provided it’s not against GoComics comment standards)…..not everything can be interesting to everybody , all of the time… – Reminds me of what some expressed, to paraphrase, yesterday- that one cannot dictate what others choose to post….
JayBluE about 11 years ago
Donny, the same “freedoms” are also extended to you, as everybody else, in commenting,.. I’m sure you were looking for other reactions, though… – Physically ill, Donny?…

A great comic. Likable characters. I find myself rooting for them and their circumstances. The best since ‘For Better or Worse’

It’d be too, too easy to say, “Takes one to know one”, so I won’t.*Now a really cool arc would be to have Luann offer to help Tiffany learn to handle kids, and for Tiff to accept. A whole year of growth—resentment—growth—anger—growth—disgust would ensue.

Is that the same tissue she was just using on the kid?

Tiffany is a driven go-getter who, once she sets her mind on something, will go all out to achieve it. It’s hard to imagine her as a quitter. ’Snot in her nature.
David Huie Green LoveJoyAndPeace about 11 years ago
Poor TiffanyShe avoids reality well but it keeps sneaking up on her.

For example. Plus, I knew that Tiffany wasn’t right for the job in the first place.

I’ll put in my two “songs & covers”:

“Cry me a River – Julie London”

Anyone else notice how wet everything is on this page?
JayBluE about 11 years ago
The recipe got… “improved upon”, Lol!!!
JayBluE about 11 years ago
and I’ll also add “Blue On Blue”, Bobby Vinton…
TORAD_07 about 11 years ago
“Cry me a River – Julie London”
There is also the Joe Cocker version (and others, I’m sure).
Absolutely, there are. Julie’s is just my “cannonical” cover.
But it would seem the Godley & Creme “Cry,” is more appropriate given Tiff’s mood right now. :)

one thing I admired about Tiffany was that she always seemed to bounce back. maybe not this time.

Says the girl who’s having a temper tantrum with tears and snot…
Caldonia about 11 years ago
Tears, snot, tantrums: A few of the many reasons I never wanted kids. I don’t like the racket! I know I have too much ADD to be a mom! Honest, I swear I’m not as eeeeeevil as the nefarious young TIFF.

Same with Fats Domino/Pat Boone “Ain’t That a Shame”, also Fats/Ricky Nelson “I’m Walkin’. Thank God the original Fats version play ratio is at least 3 to 1 on the radio. Those particular songs’ covers are, to say the least, sooooo bland, soulless, insipid, whitebread, or, as we say, milchidik”.
Fercockt, ain’t it… :-)
Fats kept all his songs, canonical for me, thank goodness. Of Pat Boone’s, it was only “Tutti Fruiti” that was questionable.
Same thing as “Sh-Boom,” written/performed originally by “The chords,” but canonized by “The Crew Cuts.” I guess a lot of those songs, originally written by African American artists/groups were covered by “milchidik” artists to make them “popular.” But I bet the original folks got screwed on the royalties.
But, in a modern day “reversal” of sorts, “I Will Always Love you…” canonized as being “Whitney Houston’s” song, but written by Dolly Parton and originally featured/sung by Parton in the movie, “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.”

Aahhh, Stan Freburg, along with Tom Lehrer. They were REAL satirists back then !!
As we “Dance, to the Masochism Tango…” We ask, “Who’s next???” :-))))
I’ve got all of Lehrer’s CDs.

Wow!!!! Great listings!!!! – I was also thinking about the playlist Donny was wanting… I’ll add “Voices Carry” by Til’ Tuesday, to the "freedom of speechapaloooza! Lol!!!

I’m here and got a charge out of all those songs. Some down memory lane…. Yeah .. Lots of good memories touring around with some suds or wine, while driving the country roads with friends.

Want a more frightening thought? Tiffany as a mother!
She won’t ever get that far. Not in her 20’s-30’s anyway. If my read of her personality is correct, she’ll opt for the “pro-choice” route. Just like AE.
JayBluE about 11 years ago
How did they do, today? Did they give the other teams…. fits ?….
JayBluE about 11 years ago
Yeah, that would seem to help a lot, playing together for so long… in so many ways, it seems to help… sounds like a great team!
JayBluE about 11 years ago
That is significant in a subtle way- it even seems to be the image of a person who isn’t “conventional”….
