Yeah, and people also run people down to get ahead in line at a store.. .-People also have won prizes by being caller number “anything but 1” on the phone on the radio, in stores, even at the bank…. like caller #10, or the 255th person in line….-So there are just as many accolades for the ones who aren’t first… both can be nice, bur your argument can’t stand on that one aspect, alone…

Now, one little remark can cause a ripple to travel thru that subset. ^And in that same principle, the echoes of sound mean that those noises that once were a sonic boom and caused a lot of reaction (some just a turn of head, some reacting with more actions) but after a bit of time, those actions disappear-pear-pear-ear-ar-r…… the ripples in a pond… a big splash, perhaps a whale that fascinates some, and is studied by others…. or just a simple drop in the kitchen sink…. point is, after that splash, the ripples faaaaaaaade…. over time… so, though the moment is now, the moment isn’t always … the things that last, are the things that splash or boom, but stay…. same with comments here… for a period of time, they are making that splash, but as long as the clock ticks, it is written into the history book, then the book is closed, the book goes on the shelf, and then it is forgotten…. what would make such comments be long lasting and meaningful isn’t in the flash, or the boom… it’s in how much that thought resonates with people… how it goes into the heart and mind, and is carried on…. substance over style… some style, too… but mostly substance… a “phenomenon” is one thing, but they change like the shifting mountains after years of wind… or the sand upon the shore… the words that people express that make others’ lives feel more meaningful, are the ones that really last….

And, too, some people wished to create a stir, in good ways…… but some in bad…. as many remembered in this news week… some are not so heinous, and they just wish to be known in some form….. take streakers at a game, for example…. During the weather. on an outside shot, too… streakers, or others who just want to see their name up….– Basically, while a person would say: “What harm is it, if it makes them happy?” Maybe so… but who really enjoys a streaker, when the game is delayed a long time? Or when the news has to stop informing, to keep the extra flesh from finding it’s way into the package they’re filming, or while on a live shot?… – So this isn’t as bad as all that, up above … quite harmless, even… but let’s compare why people are reacting to it, to something else: while many want to be able to feel comfortable in having enough money, to provide for their loved ones, people don’t generally like it when a person who is wealthy, goes and flaunts it, on top of all that… no one faults them for being rich, just for reminding those less affluent, that they have it, and those others don’t… so it’s the perceived “nyah-nyah-nyah” aspect (whether intentional or not) that gets people talking about it, not the basic comment, itself…. it stands out, but not for the reason, that they may think or want… unless that is what they are going for…. to just enjoy “controversy, for controversy’s sake”… which seems to be the way of the world today, if you watch TV or movies… – People don’t resent a person posting first…. they do resent the “First!” …. but, you probably knew that, anyway….

For so little to create so much, there has to be something to it. ^Please excuse all of these posts, it’s Sunday, so I’m now doing this while watching the games, and a lot of thoughts trying to get through the turnstyles…. – She’ll tell you that she is a kid… nothing wrong with that, at all! But the phenomenon you’re speaking of, is coming from a kid, so the “something so little creating so much”, is a teen just testing the waters… she’s doing here, what is already being done by teens and young adults, elsewhere…..

And you’ve mislabeled the “tattoo” thing, a bit… the “tattoo” question is more of a thing, like: “Does this bus go downtown?” after not having caught it, in a while…. not a tradition, just a lot of people catching up… = As you’ve probably also seen, I had decided to break with my own personal tradition, and took a day off from my “announcer” duties… = Now, the repeating of something someone has said, that’s tradition…. some other things are tradition…. but not the tattoo question…

Saying “1st” is a tradition. Is it an important tradition? No more than pointing out Toni or Brad has a tattoo. We just do it.Also, “This IS just a comic strip”

And, too… if you want to call it a tradition, then you’ll have to accept the tradition of those for this, who would call it one, and those against, who would disagree… this, in and of itself, is really, the tradition … and not the calling out of it…. – Didn’t expect to have to carry on the also usual tradition we have here of spirited, thought exercising debate, today, was trying to take it easy…. just only wanted to point out the first leg, earlier… but still, the tradition of debate has been carried on, for today..

And there is the calling out of places, to round out the number… for me, I like to do it, with stuff like “no sense” for 100, or like the other night, “a century and a piano!” for number 188…. – And in that context, if people understood it to be “1st” in this way, more and more people could be on board with it… that’s why I understand why wl calls out “first”…. they are wanting to contribute, too… and have said other things besides that…
